The model was constructed for Arun Marine.  This small craft was developed by Arun Marine who are the designers of the Arun Class offshore lifeboat.  The Arun Marine design series of RHIB boats are a third generation craft. They are constructed with a permanent lightweight foam/elastomer “D” section fender system.  The advantages of this system are that it is puncture proof, harder wearing and is fitted in sections that are easily removed for repair or replacement.  The craft are able to operate in adverse weather conditions and are fitted with a counter stern to allow greater control when running slow in a following sea or boarding ship to ship.
